indie-pOp lo-fi- indie as in 'no producers, no engineers, no agents'- lo-fi as in 'no budget, no problem'... These tunes were recorded on a 4-track in my one room basement suite between 1997-2000. The only instruments used were a Gibson Les Paul electric guitar, a bottom-of-the-line Kawai synth and anything I could find that made noise. I did have a really cool effects box though that I tended to send everything through. mics ranging from an AKG to a really cheap mono mic that I picked up from an evil dollar store. it sounded like an old staticy radio . . . I like static...and i do like cats...
